I am still working on depth of field on my photos. Last week I have to work with books.
I am creating witch outfit for my niece. This young lady has not yet ten years old, but she is a fan of Harry Potter books. She is fond of purple, and it’s not an Hogwarts colour. Since almost a year I create for her accessories. She already have a wooden wand, and a woollen cape.
This time I make a book of magic spell. The leather was prepared by a craftsman, I send him a pattern, and he cut, drilled holes and dyed it. It’s a A6 size, because she is young and it’s my first home made book. I try to minimise the waste in case of failure. But it perfectly works. And I’m very happy about this first try.
I used black leather bond, home made old looking paper and red cotton thread for the book-binding. I unfortunately broke one of the bone installing the skull eyelet. I don’t know how to remove it.
Here are the links to discover the craftsman work : website and Facebook. He is very talented, and I used to work with him for the leather pieces I need. He made me knife case, a pruning knife case, a camera belt, the leather cover and a few other pieces.
Those photos posts are a pleasant way for upgrading my skills in English and in shooting. French is my native language, and writing in English is hard and new to me. I try to do my best ! You can comment about the photo or about the language mistakes.
